India sends all-party delegations abroad to underscore zero-tolerance on terrorism

The all-party delegation from India to Japan, led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha, today met the Acting Chairperson of the Research Committee on Counter-terrorism of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and Former Minister of Justice, Yasuhiro Hanashi, in Tokyo, Japan. The delegation highlighted India’s unified and determined stance against terrorism in all its forms. Both sides reiterated their zero-tolerance approach to terrorism. The delegation also had an interaction with the Former Defence Minister of Japan, Minoru Kihara, and the Director General of the International Bureau of the LDP, Shinako Tsuchiya. India’s strong resolve to fight every form of terrorism was reiterated during the discussion. The delegation also interacted with ambassadors and diplomats of Brazil, Australia, Colombia, Greece, and South Korea in Tokyo. During the interaction, Mr. Jha stated that every terrorist activity in the world has some link to Pakistan, which has become the new normal. He added that if anything happens to Indian citizens, India will retaliate.

 

Meanwhile, another multi-party delegation, led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi and currently in Moscow, was briefed by the Indian Ambassador to Russia, Vinay Kumar, on various aspects of India-Russia relations before beginning their official engagements. The delegation reached Moscow earlier today.

 

Ms. Kanzimozhi led a multi-party delegation that will visit Spain, Greece, Slovenia and Latvia in the later phases of their visit.

 

Another high-level all-party delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde reached Abu Dhabi yesterday. The UAE is the first stop of the broader four-nation diplomatic outreach. During their visit, the delegation held a series of high-level meetings with UAE leadership and media officials to underscore India’s firm zero-tolerance stance on terrorism. The remaining four delegations out of seven will also be leaving in the upcoming days for different countries.
