The Department of Telecommunications has made significant preparations to ensure seamless communication for millions of devotees and visitors for the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Communications Ministry said, the telecom service providers have been instructed to deploy advanced technology and optimise networks across the city and Mela area in Prayagraj.

The Ministry said, 126 kilometres of optical fibre has been laid throughout the Prayagraj city. In addition, 328 new towers have been installed and 575 new Base Transceiver Stations have been deployed to ensure robust and uninterrupted connectivity in the city. The MahaKumbh Mela is a significant pilgrimage that attracts crores of people from all over the world to Prayagraj.
