Telangana to Host ‘Telangana–North East Connect’ Techno-Cultural Festival in Two Phases

Telangana state is set to host a techno-cultural festival to build deeper cultural, social and developmental linkages between the State and the North Eastern region of the country. The ‘Telangana-North East Connect’ will take place in two phases in Hyderabad later this month and is expected to bring together hundreds of artists, experts, officials and cultural ambassadors from the eight North Eastern states. Principal Secretary to the Telangana Governor, M Dana Kishore, informed the media that the first phase of the event will take place from the 20th of this month for three days in the Hitex Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad.
 
 
The three-day programme will feature cultural showcases. Stalls selling handmade products created by women self-help groups from the North East will also be set up. The second phase of the event will be held at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad from the 25th of this month for 3 days. Panel discussions focusing on the health sector will take place during the event. He said about 500 invitees and officials will participate in the Raj Bhavan programmes, which will also include exposure visits to leading hospitals, Genome Valley and T-Hub.
