The Telangana government is using digital creators and influencers to promote tourism both globally and locally. Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao made this announcement at a Tourism Creators Meet yesterday. The Minister said tourism is a major driver of economic growth and employment. He urged influencers to showcase Telangana’s scenic destinations, heritage sites, and cultural art forms to audiences worldwide.
The Minister noted that travelling doesn’t require high spending. People can reduce expenses and visit local attractions to overcome stress and improve mental health. The government plans to develop unused hotels and tourism lands to enhance visitor experiences and increase revenue. Cleanliness and basic facilities will be ensured at all tourist spots. The government will launch a new awareness campaign called “Prabhata Bheri.”
It will use short films, skits, stage performances, and traditional art forms to educate people about social problems. The Tourism Department launched new social media accounts on Instagram and Meta. A promotional video titled “Timeless Telangana” was screened, showcasing historical monuments, heritage structures, and traditional crafts like Kalamkari art.
