‘Telangana Raising 2047’ to make state $3 trillion economy: CM Revanth Reddy

Telangana State Formation Day is being celebrated on a grand scale across the state today. Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and top leaders of all political parties took the lead in the celebrations. Chief Minister hoisted the national flag at the main official event held at Secunderabad Parade Grounds. The presence of a delegation from Japanese Kitakyushu city, led by Mayor Kazuhisa Takeuchi, has been one of the highlights this year.
Addressing the people of the state, the Chief Minister said the government has prepared a vision document, Telangana Raising 2047, to make the state a 3 trillion economy by that time and a trillion economy in the coming ten years. 

 

Akashvani Correspondent reports that the 29th State of the Indian Union became a reality by an act of parliament on this day in 2014. The national flag has been hoisted across the state, district headquarters and at the headquarters of all political parties. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy led the state in paying rich tributes to the martyrs who laid their lives in pursuit of separate statehood for Telangana. He also gave away one crore rupees cash award to 9 eminent poets and artists, who played a key role in Telangana. The families have received the award posthumously in a few cases. Besides, 19 police officials received gallantry awards while 11 received them for their meritorious services. Meanwhile, the government is taking several initiatives from today onwards, especially in housing and implementation of the Bhu Bharati Act, which is aimed at making the land registrations and allied services easy for people.
