The Telangana government has decided to extend the One Lakh rupees marriage incentive award for marriage between two differently-abled persons. The cash benefit will be offered in the name of the wife, and a Government Order to this effect was issued. In the past, the incentive was awarded if only one person was differently abled. Now, it has been decided to award for marriage between two differently-abled persons too. In March 2018, the incentive was increased from 50 thousand to one lakh rupees by the previous government.
