Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has urged Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to speed up clearances for several key infrastructure projects in Telangana, especially in and around Hyderabad. He met Mr Gadkari at Begumpet airport last evening and discussed in detail pending issues regarding the Regional Ring Road, radial roads and greenfield expressways that are crucial for easing traffic congestion and promoting connectivity in the capital. The Chief Minister requested him to accord early financial and Cabinet approvals for the northern part of the RRR, for which tenders have already been invited.
The Union Minister inaugurated several highway projects and laid the foundation stone for several others worth a total of 6100 crore rupees in Telangana yesterday.
