Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that the the teachings of Lord Buddha continue to illuminate paths of harmony and coexistence across the globe. The Minister said this while speaking at the 2nd Global Buddhist Summit 2026 in New Delhi today. Mr Rijiju said that a country who wishes to emerge powerful must follow the path and principles of Buddha. He further called on the citizens to follow his principles to become powerful and prosperous to further the concept of rising together. Mr Rijiju also highlighted the efforts of Prime Minister Modi-led government to spread the knowledge and message of Buddha.

 

Ministry of Culture and the International Buddhist Confederation are jointly organising the 2nd Global Buddhist Summit. The summit is being held under the theme of Collective Wisdom, United Voice, and Mutual Coexistence.
