In Jammu and Kashmir, a two-day Tawi Boating Festival in Jammu commences today. The Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the festival will be open to the public free of charge. Boats will operate on the artificial lake, while the riverbanks will be illuminated with decorative lights. Pertinently, the artificial lake has been created by closing the barrage and retaining water in the Tawi River, in collaboration with the Irrigation and Flood Control Department.
