Brazil’s Supreme Court has handed down heavy sentences to three soldiers and a federal police officer accused of plotting to assassinate President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. The Prosecutors said, the plan aimed to prevent Lula from taking office and keep then-President Jair Bolsonaro in power after his election defeat.
