Sri Lanka’s government announced a Cabinet reshuffle today, appointing new ministers to key portfolios as part of a broader realignment aimed at strengthening administrative focus in several sectors.
Anura Karunathilaka has been named Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation, while HM Susil Ranasinghe took charge as Minister of Housing, Construction and Water Supply. Bimal Ratnayake will now serve as Minister of Transport, Highways and Urban Development.
A number of deputy ministerial appointments also accompanied the reshuffle, including Anil Jayantha Fernando as Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning. Other appointments covered sectors such as health, energy, mass media, and youth affairs, marking a wider recalibration of responsibilities across the administration.
