Mr. Singh said, until last year, the government allowed minority communities fleeing religious persecution in neighbouring countries to remain in India without a passport. He added, the Citizenship Amendment Act has provided these persecuted refugees a path to a safe, dignified, and empowered life. The Minister said, the BJP has always stood for the rights and privileges of the Sindhi community.
