Senior BJP leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra passed away this morning at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. The 93-year-old BJP leader was the first president of the Delhi BJP.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the demise of senior BJP leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra this morning. In a social media post, Mr Modi described Vijay Kumar Malhotra as an outstanding leader with a deep understanding of people’s issues and recalled his vital contribution in strengthening the BJP in Delhi. The Prime Minister also conveyed his condolences to his family and admirers.
Union Minister and BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed grief over the demise of senior BJP leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra today. In a social media post, Mr Nadda described the loss as irreparable for the BJP. He recalled that Vijay Kumar Malhotra, the first president of the party’s Delhi unit, was known for his simplicity, integrity, and unwavering loyalty. He added that Vijay Kumar Malhotra not only played a key role in expanding the organisation in Delhi but also guided and shaped countless workers with dedication.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Chief Minister said that his life was a living example of patriotism, organisational skills, and discipline. She noted that as the first president of Delhi BJP, he strengthened the foundation of the organisation and showed countless workers the path of service and dedication. Mrs Gupta said that his departure has left a deep void in the BJP and social life.
