SC Directs Appellate Tribunals to Hear Cases of Voters Excluded from SIR Lists

According to Supreme Court directives, appellate tribunals are scheduled to commence proceedings today to hear cases of voters whose names were excluded from the list under consideration within the framework of the SIR. All applications, documents, and information submitted both online and offline will be made available to the tribunals for their decisions.
 
Yesterday, during the hearing of the SIR-related matter, the Supreme Court bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and Vipul M. Pancholi  have issued this direction. The Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court, Sujoy Pal has informed the Supreme Court that nearly 2 lakhs names are being adjudicated daily and expressed confidence that the adjudication process would be completed by April 7.
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for April 6.
