On the completion of 100 Years of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Sangh’s Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale has emphasised that Swayamsevaks will make a special effort to reach all sections of society to seek cooperation and participation in the mission of national service. He said, with the coordinated effort of all, the next stage of the nation’s journey is towards holistic development, which will certainly be smoother and more successful. In a blog titled Sangh@100 with People’s Support, he highlighted that in the Sangh’s journey of the last 100 years, people’s support from across the country has ensured the success of the mission.
Looking back at the journey of RSS, he said in the early years, young karyakartas worked like dedicated warriors, driven entirely by their love for the nation. He also highlighted the contribution of RSS leaders Dr Hedgewar, Appaji Joshi, Dadarav Parmarth, Balasaheb and Bhaurao Deoras, brothers, Yadavrao Joshi and Eknath Ranade. He said, inspired figures like Dattopant Thengadi, Yashwantrao Kelkar, Balasaheb Deshpande, Eknath Ranade, Deendayal Upadhyaya, and Dadasaheb Apte drew strength from the Sangh and went on building several organisations in different walks of social life. He underscored that these organisations with immense growth have brought above constructive changes across many fields.
Mr. Hosabale said that the progress of the Sangh has always rested on society’s constant support because its work remained in tune with the spirit of the people. He said, the Sangh has raised several issues of national importance over the decades, and the Sangh consistently sought consensus and cooperation on the matters of national security, social harmony, democracy and preservation of culture. He also remembered the service rendered by thousand of Swayamsevaks who endured unimaginable hardships and laid down their lives.
