Russia Launches Massive Strikes on Ukraine’s Energy Facilities; Two Killed

Russia has attacked energy facilities across Ukraine. In the attack, two people lost their lives. According to the officials of Ukraine, missiles and drones targeted both infrastructure and residential areas. The strikes led the United States to postpone a planned summit between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, after Moscow rejected a proposed ceasefire. Ukraine’s energy minister described the assault as a massive attack. Russia has not commented on the latest wave of strikes.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces said they struck a Russian chemical plant yesterday using UK-supplied Storm Shadow missiles. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed. The targeted facility, the Bryansk Chemical Plant, is viewed by Kyiv as a key part of Russia’s military-industrial complex.
