The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, RSS’s Centenary year celebration and Vijayadashmi program will be held in the presence of former President Ram Nath Kovind at Reshimbag in Nagpur this morning as the Chief Guest. Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat will deliver his main address on this occasion. Distinguished guests from across the country and abroad have been invited to watch the ceremony which include route march, shastra poojan and physical demonstrations by swayamsevak in Nagpur.
A turnout of about 21 thousand Swayamsevaks is expected in this year’s special program which marks the hundred years of RSS founded at Nagpur by its First Sarsanghchalak Dr. Keshav Hedgewar in 1925 on occasion of Vijayadashmi.
As part of the Panch Parivartan program of the Sangh, ‘Hindu Sammelans’ will also be organized at the Mandal and Basti levels in urban and rural parts of the country in which all sections of social life will participate. Home outreach campaigns will also be carried out by volunteers of RSS (Swayamsevaks).
Meanwhile, on reaching Nagpur yesterday evening, former President Ram nath Kovind paid floral tribute to the memorial of first sarsanghchalak and founder of RSS Dr. Keshav Hedgewar in Nagpur. He also visited Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur to pay his tribute to Central Memorial of Dr. Babasahedb Ambedkar.
