Vice Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh today said that responsibilities of the Air Force have increased due to the evolution of technology in defence and warfare. 

Delivering the inaugural address at the Air and Missile Defence India Seminar and Exhibition 2024, Air Marshal Singh said that the Air Force is now a force multiplier across different forces, thus it needs to keep up with every important technological development.

He added that communication and data play a crucial role as well and that the defence forces need to have a robust and multi-later protection system. Mr Singh also highlighted the need for India to be self-reliant in the field of but cautioned that it must come at the cost of quality.
