Director General of the Border Security Force-BSF Daljit Singh Chawdhary today said that this year’s National Unity Day celebration will be grand, inclusive and will witness the participation of security personnel from across the country. Addressing a curtain raiser press conference in New Delhi on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas-2025 celebration, DG BSF said that unity in diversity, harmony, and nation-building spirit will be the theme of this year celebration. He also urged the citizens to actively participate in the celebration and strengthen country’s unity and integrity. Mr Chawdhary said that this year’s celebration marks the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Every year National Unity Day is celebrated at Ekta Nagar in Narmada district in Gujarat on 31st October. DG BSF has said that Central Armed Police Forces including BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP and SSB will participate in the event. He said that State Police Units of Assam, Tripura, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh will also participate in the celebration. CRPF gallantry awardees and BSF bravery medal winners including Operation Sindoor heroes will also be part of the celebration.
