Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary was celebrated across the country today as National Youth Day. In Ranchi, floral tributes were offered at the statue of Swami Vivekananda at Vivekananda Lake to mark the occasion. Union Power and Urban Development Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister of State for Defence and Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, and several other dignitaries were present.
Addressing the ceremony, Manohar Lal Khattar said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat by 2047” rests on the shoulders of the nation’s youth. He stated that when the energy and enthusiasm of youth are given the right direction, no one can stop them. He added that, along with education, youth also need values and ideals and called for making oneself, one’s family, and then society self-reliant, leading ultimately to a self-reliant nation. He described the installation of Swami Vivekananda’s statue and the naming of the lake in Ranchi as commendable initiatives.
Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth said that after “Operation Sindoor”, there has been a perceptible change in the global outlook towards India. He added that Indian youth are second to none and asserted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is moving ahead and will continue to progress.
