Rajasthan Deputy CM, Finance Minister Diya Kumari presents Budget 2026-27 in Assembly

In Rajasthan, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari presented the Budget for the financial year 2026-27 in the State Assembly today. Beginning her budget speech by highlighting the achievements of the government, she said that service, dedication, and good governance are the government’s top priorities. Keeping this in mind, several initiatives have been undertaken for farmers, youth, women, roads, and infrastructure development.
 
The Finance Minister stated that the size of this year’s budget has increased by more than 41 per cent compared to last year. The government had taken 10 resolutions for a Developed Rajasthan, which have been presented in the budget as pillars of development. She described the budget as a roadmap for Developed Rajasthan @2047 and said that during the current financial year, per capita annual income is expected to reach 2.02 lakh rupees.
 
For the development of roads in urban areas, a provision of 1,800 crore rupees has been announced, along with 500 crore rupees for road maintenance. In addition, 920 crore rupees have been allocated for the construction of ROBs and RUBs. The Finance Minister also announced the construction of 250 Atal Pragati Paths. She said the government has set a target to reduce road accidents by up to 90 per cent, and road safety measures will be implemented in a phased manner.
 
Under the Chief Minister Jal Jeevan Mission, works worth 530 crore rupees will be undertaken in 83 cities. Across the state, beautification and restoration works will be carried out at 3,000 crore rupees. In the budget, a fund of 1,000 crore rupees has been announced for the development of the capital city, Jaipur.
