Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma inaugurates Know Your Army exhibition in Jaipur ahead of 78th Army Day

A grand Army Day Parade will be organised in Jaipur on the 15th of this month. As part of the events being held to mark the 78th Army Day, a four-day Know Your Army exhibition began today at the Bhawani Niketan Education Committee campus in Jaipur. The exhibition was inaugurated by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. He also viewed the modern equipment and weaponry displayed by the Army.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said, the Know Your Army exhibition offers a glimpse of cutting-edge equipment and contemporary methods of warfare. It allows the general public to understand how the country’s Army remains alert round the clock to safeguard the nation. He said that for the first time, the Army Day Parade is being held in Jaipur, outside the traditional military cantonment areas.

Through this parade, citizens will get an opportunity to witness the discipline, valour, sacrifice, and military strength of the Indian Army. Mr. Sharma said, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the modernisation of the country’s armed forces has progressed at an unprecedented pace. He emphasised that under the Make in India and Atma Nirbhar Bharat initiatives, indigenisation in defence production has been given top priority.

At the inauguration ceremony, the Indian Army’s mechanised forces, paragliding teams, skydivers, the dog squad, and several other units presented live demonstrations. The exhibition has been organised to showcase the Army’s work culture, technology, and operational preparedness. The exhibition will run for five days. Missiles, drones, Army tanks, and weapons used during Operation Sindoor will be on display from 10:30 in the morning to 5:30 in the evening. Rehearsals for the Army Day Parade, scheduled to be held in Jaipur, are underway in Jagatpura from January 1, and these rehearsals are also open to the public.
