Several parts of Uttarakhand are witnessing intermittent rainfall, leading to a drop in temperature. The Met Department has forecast similar conditions to persist in the coming days. Light to moderate rainfall has been experienced in different parts of the state since this morning. Due to intermittent rain over the past three days, the mercury in many areas has fallen below normal.
According to the Meteorological Centre, Dehradun, rainfall is likely to continue in most parts of the state today and tomorrow. The department has also issued a warning of thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds during this period. An orange alert has been issued for hailstorms and heavy rainfall in Dehradun, Tehri, Haridwar, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts, while a yellow alert has been issued for other areas. According to the Met Department, this spell of rain may continue in the coming days, which could lead to a further drop in temperature.
