In Uttar Pradesh, rain and hailstorms lashed most parts of the state. Aakashwani correspondent reports that rain continued intermittently in several districts of the state, including the capital Lucknow. Schools from classes 1 to 8 were closed today due to heavy rain and cold weather in Sambhal.

 

A drop in temperature was recorded in Amroha due to late-night rain and hailstorm. The farmers have been relieved by the rains of the past two days in Pilibhit district. Dr. Shailendra Singh Dhaka, in charge of Piliphit Agricultural Science Centre, said that the rain at this time is beneficial for the crops.
