Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw today visited the under-construction Bilimora Bullet Train Station, a key node of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project in Gujarat.
The Minister reviewed the progress of construction and track-laying works. Briefing the media, Mr Vaishnaw reiterated that the first section of the High-Speed Rail network, from Bilimora to Surat, will be operational by 2027.
The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project, country’s first 508 kilometers high-speed rail corridor, has achieved significant milestones, including the completion of 325 kilometers of viaduct, 400 kilometers of pier work, and the construction of multiple bridges and tunnels.
