Punjab Police Identifies 203 Foreign Terror Handlers, Initiates Red/Blue Corner Notices

Punjab Police has identified 203 foreign handlers associated with terror networks and organised crimes in the state and has initiated the process to issue Red Corner Notices/Blue Corner Notices against them, in coordination with central agencies, to bring them to justice in India.

State Police Chief Guarav Yadav revealed this during a media briefing after having meetings on security review in two police districts, Tarn Taran and Batala, yesterday. He directed the district police chiefs to ensure maximum visibility and alertness of the police across the state to ensure peaceful celebrations of the forthcoming Diwali festival. He said the review meetings were focused on countering the emerging threats of narco-terrorism from Pakistan and organised crimes in the state. He disclosed that the Police are foiling the nefarious designs of foreign-based terrorist organisations to disturb peace in Punjab. He said that since September 2024, the Punjab Police has busted 26 terror modules with the arrest of 90 accused persons. A huge quantity of arms, explosives, ammunition, hand grenades, and RDX has also been recovered from their possession.
