The Punjab Police have cancelled all leaves for officers and personnel with immediate effect, citing administrative reasons. Police sources stated that leave will only be granted in extraordinary circumstances. Similarly, personnel from the state health department have been put on alert. They have been instructed to remain available around the clock to handle any medical emergencies.
