A painter from Punjab’s Amritsar, Dr. Jagjot Singh Rubal, has painted a seven-foot-tall portrait of the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, with the inscription ‘Echoes of friendship.’ Made on canvas with acrylic colours, it took him 13 days to complete. He said it’s his way of welcoming the Russian leader to India on behalf of Punjab, as both India and Russia have had very strong relations for a long time. Rubal had earlier also made paintings of Presidents and Prime Ministers of India, besides actors of the Indian film industry and has earned 65 world records, including the India Book of Rewards, Asia Book of Records and America Book of Records.
