Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the developmental works of Mata Tripura Sundari temple under the PRASHAD scheme. With the inauguration of the developmental works, a new chapter has been added to Tripura’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage. The Prime Minister, who arrived at Agartala’s MBB Airport from Arunachal Pradesh, then travelled by helicopter from Agartala to the OTPC helipad at Palatana in Udaipur.

People who were waiting to have a glimpse of the Prime Minister welcomed Mr Modi. The Prime Minister offered Puja and also saw the exhibition on the centuries-old temple that presents its rich cultural and spiritual heritage. In a traditional gesture of honour, artists from the Jamatia Hoda community welcomed him with devotional songs, adding to the grandeur of the occasion.
