President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw have expressed profound grief over the demise of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
In a social media post, the President termed the untimely demise of Mr Pawar as an irreparable loss. President Murmu said that Mr Pawar would always be remembered for his significant contribution to the development of Maharashtra, especially in the cooperative sector. Expressing deep condolences to his family, supporters, and admirers, the President wished strength and courage to the families of all others who lost their lives in the Baramati plane crash accident.
Meanwhile, Mr Modi noted that Mr Pawar was widely respected as a hardworking leader who remained at the forefront of serving the people of Maharashtra. Highlighting Mr Pawar’s understanding of administrative matters and passion for empowering the poor and downtrodden, PM Modi said that Mr Pawar was a leader of the people with a strong grassroots connection. Mr Modi further prayed for strength and courage for the bereaved families who lost their loved ones in the accident.
Remembering the Deputy Chief Minister’s long political career, the Lok Sabha Speaker said that Mr Pawar would always be remembered for his contributions to public welfare through cooperatives and the development of the state.
The Home Minister said that the passing of Mr Pawar is a personal loss for both him and the NDA family. He expressed his deepest condolences to the Pawar family, stating that in this hour of grief, the entire NDA stands firmly with the bereaved family.
Defence Minister said that throughout his long public life, Mr Pawar remained committed to the development and prosperity of Maharashtra. He added that the Deputy Chief Minister was known for his compassion for the people and his unwavering dedication to public service. Mr Vaishnaw also extended condolences to Mr Pawar’s family, supporters, and the people of Maharashtra, stating that he was deeply saddened by his tragic and untimely demise.
