President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed grief at the loss of lives in the road accident in the Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh. In a social media post, they prayed for the swift recovery of those injured.
Prime Minister Modi also announced an ex gratia of two lakh rupees from Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund, which would be given to the next of kin of each of those who lost their lives in the tragic mishap. The injured would be given 50 thousand rupees.
