President Droupadi Murmu today visited the sacred hill shrine of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy in Tirumala and offered prayers with traditional temple honours.
Upon arrival, the President first visited Sri Varahaswamy temple, the kshetrapalaka of Tirumala, and performed d special puja. She then proceeded to the main temple of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
At the temple’s Mahadwaram, she was accorded a traditional welcome by TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal, Vedic scholars, and senior temple officials. President Murmu offered prayers at the Dwajastambham before entering the sanctum sanctorum, where she had darshan of Lord Venkateswara and made her offerings.
Following the darshan, Vedic scholars rendered Veda Ashirvachanam for the President at the Ranganayakula Mandapam. TTD officials later presented her with tirtha prasadam
