President Droupadi Murmu extended her greetings to the citizens on the eve of Lohri, Makar Sankranti, Pongal and Magh Bihu, which are being celebrated tomorrow and on the 14th of this month. In her message, the President said that these festivals symbolise the country’s rich agricultural traditions and reflect its spirit of national unity. President Murmu noted that they highlight India’s vibrant and diverse cultural heritage.
The President also said that these occasions provide an opportunity to salute the hard work and dedication of the country’s farmers, who tirelessly work to feed the nation. President Murmu added that festivals celebrated across different parts of the country express collective gratitude towards Mother Nature.
