Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a nationwide campaign for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination for girls aged 14 years in Ajmer, Rajasthan. The campaign was formally initiated by administering the HPV vaccine to five girls. The Prime Minister also inaugurated, dedicated and laid the foundation stone of various projects worth over 16 thousand crore rupees. PM Modi also distributed appointment letters to more than 21 thousand newly selected youths in different departments of the Rajasthan government.
Speaking on this occasion, the Prime Minister said that the BJP government has always prioritised resolving even the smallest problems faced by women. He said that the HPV vaccination campaign is another important step in this direction. He said, the campaign is an important step towards empowering the country’s women. PM Modi said women are the backbone of every household, and since 2014, the BJP government has launched several schemes to empower women. He added that the BJP government works not with a sense of power, but with sensitivity.
Taking a dig at Congress for its unruly behaviour and protest at AI Impact Summit held in New Delhi, the Prime Minister said the entire country felt proud of such a grand event but Congress, which is frustrated and disheartened by repeated electoral defeats, attempted to defame the country before international guests.
Lauding the Indian Armed Forces, the Prime Minister said, the country’s armed forces have succeeded on every front, but the Congress has raised questions on the defence forces. He said that the country is therefore teaching the Congress a lesson.
The Prime Minister said that in Rajasthan, the BJP government is swiftly fulfilling the promises. He said that the developmental projects will enhance public convenience and create employment opportunities for the youth. He said that road, rail, and air connectivity not only make travel easier but also transform entire regions.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal also addressed the programme. On the occasion, the Governor of Rajasthan, Haribhau Bagde, the Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Bhagirath Choudhary and several ministers of the state government were also present.
