Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off four new Vande Bharat Express trains at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh today. The new Vande Bharat Express trains will operate on the Varanasi-Khajuraho, Lucknow-Sarai Rohilla, Firozpur-Delhi, and Ernakulam-Bengaluru routes. These trains will reduce travel time, enhance regional mobility, promote tourism, and support economic activity across the country. Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present at the event. The Prime Minister reached his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, last evening. Upon Mr Modi’s arrival, the people of the city and party workers gave him a grand welcome.
The Banaras Khajuraho Vande Bharat train will connect iconic religious and cultural places like Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot and Khajuraho, and this will also save 2 hours and 40 minutes of the passengers’ time. The Lucknow-Saharanpur Vande Bharat train will make travel between central and western Uttar Pradesh smooth and quick . Firozpur Delhi will be the fastest train on this route whilethe Ernakulam Bengaluru Vande Bharat train will connect major IT and commercial hubs.
