Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s life was an embodiment of both spiritual practice and selfless service. He said, countless campaigns are being carried out by his followers in service to the society, nation and humanity.
In his remarks during Shikshapatri Dwishatabdi Mahotsav through video conferencing today, Mr Modi said, projects related to education and health, the resolve for farmers’ welfare and initiatives connected with water conservation are truly commendable. He said, it is inspiring to see all revered saints and devotees continuously expanding their responsibilities towards service to society.
The Prime Minister said, Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s life was connected to public service and public education and in the form of the Shikshapatri, he gave people invaluable guidance for life. He said, India has always been dedicated to the Gyan Yoga, and the Vedas continue to inspire people for thousands of years and even today. Mr Modi said, today, the nation is advancing mass movements such as Swadeshi and Swachhata, and the echoes of the Vocal for Local mantra are reaching every home.
