Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded the Ahmedabad Flower Show for its remarkable role in bringing together creativity, sustainability, and community participation. In a social media post today, Mr Modi said the event showcases the city’s vibrant spirit and love for nature. He also commended the growth of the flower show over the years.
The 14th edition of the Ahmedabad International Flower Show began in the city yesterday. The exhibition themed Bharat Ek Gatha showcases the country’s rich and diverse cultural heritage. The flower show will continue till the 22nd of this month. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the event at the Sabarmati Riverfront.
Organised by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, the show features large-scale floral installations and has drawn strong public participation. The event gained international attention after setting two Guinness World Records for the world’s largest flower mandala and the world’s largest flower portrait, the latter depicting national leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The achievements marked the third consecutive year the Ahmedabad Flower Show has entered the Guinness World Records, following earlier records for the world’s longest flower structure in 2024 and the world’s largest flower bouquet in 2025.
