Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the OSAT plant of Kaynes Semiconductor in Sanand, Gujarat, today. While inaugurating this plant during a one-day visit to Gujarat, he said that the production to be done by this plant is an important achievement in the field of semiconductors. He said that the chips to be manufactured in this plant in Sanand will reach America. He added that India is emerging as a leading partner in the field of semiconductors.
Mr Modi said that efforts are being made to make a system so that India’s requirement of semiconductors is met from within the country itself. Mentioning that with the inauguration of this plant, India’s semiconductors have got a new momentum, the Prime Minister said that a large part of Kaynes’ production has already been booked. Mr Modi called this decade of technology India’s decade.
Mr Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development works worth over 19,800 crore rupees in the newly created Vav-Tharad district.
