Prime Minister Narendra Modi today extended greetings to the people of Assam on the occasion of its Statehood Day. In a social media post, the Prime Minister said that today is an occasion to reiterate the commitment of countrymen to fulfilling the vision of Swargadeo Chaolung Sukapha. Mr Modi said that the NDA Government in the Centre and Assam are working tirelessly to boost the progress of Assam. PM said that remarkable strides have been made in enhancing physical and social infrastructure. He added that numerous steps are being taken towards popularising the Tai-Ahom culture and Tai language.
