PM Modi Arrives in Raipur for All-India Police Chiefs Conference

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Raipur this evening to participate in the All India Conference of Directors General and Inspectors General of Police being held in Chhattisgarh. The three-day conference commenced today at the Indian Institute of Management in Nawa Raipur.
 
The Prime Minister will preside over various sessions of the conference scheduled on the 29th and 30th of November.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Ministers of State for Home, Directors General of Police from various States and Union Territories, and heads of Central Police Organisations are attending the conference.This year’s theme is “Viksit Bharat: Security Dimensions”.
 
During the deliberations, wide-ranging discussions are being held on key national security issues, including Left-Wing Extremism, counter-terrorism, disaster management, women’s safety, and the use of forensic science and Artificial Intelligence in policing.
 
The Prime Minister will also present the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service during the conference.
