Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Rome last night on an official visit to Italy. Prime Minister was received at the airport by Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani.
Later, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni hosted a dinner in honour of PM Modi. After the dinner, Prime Minister Modi reached the Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel, where a jubilant Indian diaspora welcomed him.
Today, Prime Minister Modi will hold talks with his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni and President Sergio Mattarella to discuss ways to further strengthen India-Italy cooperation. The visit will focus on enhancing bilateral ties, particularly in the context of the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor. The Joint Strategic Action Plan 2025-2029 will also be reviewed.
Prime Minister Modi will also visit the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization to reaffirm India’s commitment to multilateralism and global food security.
