Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal today held high-level talks with European Union (EU) Trade and Economic Security Commissioner Maros Sefcovic in Brussels. In a social media post, Mr Goyal said the discussions were held as part of ongoing efforts to finalise a mutually beneficial Free Trade Agreement between India and the EU. He added that during the dialogue, they deliberated upon key areas of the proposed agreement.

The Minister said they reaffirmed their commitment to a rules-based trading framework and a modern economic partnership that safeguards the interests of farmers and MSMEs while integrating Indian industries into global supply chains.
