The Government has refuted a voice mail that claimed that the Reserve Bank of India is sending a message to people telling them that their accounts will be blocked. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau said that the viral voice mail claims that the account will be blocked due to the involvement of a person’s credit card in fraudulent activity. The unit informed that the claim is false and a scam. The Government has urged citizens to be aware of such false claims and verify them before trusting them.
