The Ministry of Panchayati Raj will felicitate elected Panchayat representatives in New Delhi today. These representatives have been invited as Special Guests to witness the Republic Day Parade.

The honourees include around 240 Sarpanches, Mukhiyas, Gram Pradhans and Block and District Panchayat Presidents from Panchayats that have achieved saturation in flagship Central Government schemes.

Panchayat Assistance and Messaging- PANCHAM Chatbot developed by the Ministry in collaboration with UNICEF will be released at the event.

PANCHAM is a tool for direct, timely, and two-way digital interaction with Panchayat Elected Representatives, officials, and citizens. It also enables easy access to scheme updates, training content, surveys and Panchayat service information, strengthening transparent and effective service delivery at the grassroots.
