Over 26 shops gutted as fire breaks out at Delhi’s Dilli Haat

A massive fire broke out at Dilli Haat in the INA area of the national capital in the late evening yesterday. According to Delhi Fire Services, 13 fire tenders were sent to the spot, and fire brigade teams were in action to douse the fire. As per officials, nearly 26 shops were gutted in the fire. However, no loss of life or injuries was reported. The fire department said that it received a call about the fire at around 8.55 pm.

 

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, in a social media post, said that the fire incident is unfortunate. She added that the government is closely monitoring the situation and ensuring all necessary assistance to those affected.

 

Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra has assured the artisans that the government will not let any artisan suffer any loss. He added that the cause of the fire will be investigated, and compensation for the loss of shops will be given.
