Over 11 lakh people offered central govt. jobs through 18 Rozgar Melas: Mansukh Mandaviya 

Union Minister of Labour and Employment Dr Mansukh Mandaviya has said that so far 18 editions of  Rozgar Mela have been organised in the country by the government, in which central government jobs were offered to  11 lakh 39 thousand people.
 
In reply to supplementary questions in the Rajya Sabha today, Dr Mandaviya said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed appointment letters to the newly appointed youth in these Rozgar Mela.
 
The first edition of Razgar Mela was held in October 2022. He also informed that in the last year, a total of 18 thousand job fairs were organized across the country, in which jobs were provided to two crore and 22 lakh people. He said, the Ministry is running the National Career Service (NCS) Portal, which is a one-stop solution for providing career-related services, including jobs from private and government sectors.
 
He added that over the last decade, this platform has become very robust, and over six crore have registered on this platform. Dr Mandaviya also informed that the National Career Service portal has also been integrated with the e-migrate portal, Mera Yuva Bharat and skill development portal so that the opportunities of jobs can be searched at one place.

After the completion of Question Hour, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled a copy of the Economic Survey 2025-26 in the Upper House. After completing today’s business Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day.
