Department of Pensions and Pensioners’ Welfare has generated over 1.54 crore Digital Life Certificates (DLC) under its DLC Campaign 4.0. The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions said that the initiative was launched to simplify life digital life certificate submissions, particularly for super senior pensioners. Out of these DLCs over 91 lakh DLCs, were generated using Face Authentication Technology which is nearly 230 times more than the DLC 3.0 Campaign.

 

The Ministry added that this is particularly beneficial for elderly pensioners with faded fingerprints, differently-abled individuals facing mobility challenges and Pensioners living in rural and remote areas. The campaign was formally launched by Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Dr Jitendra Singh on 5th of the last month in New Delhi.
