Odisha’s Net State Domestic Product (NSDP) has risen from 6.99 lakh crore rupees in 2023-24 to an estimated 7.90 lakh crore rupees in 2024-25, recording a growth of 13.04 per cent.
Chief Minister of Odisha Mohan Chran Majhi shared the figures, citing the Economic Survey of India 2025-26, tabled in the Parliament by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman yesterday. He said per capita NSDP in Odisha has increased to one lakh sixty-eight thousand 966 rupees, reflecting improved income levels and living standards in the state.
Highlighting sectoral performance, the Chief Minister said agriculture continues to remain a key pillar of Odisha’s growth, with the state now among the top three sunflower-producing states in the country. He also said that bank deposits in the state have risen to 5.83 lakh crore rupees, indicating deeper financial inclusion and higher savings. Mr Majhi said Odisha’s fiscal position remains strong, enabling sustained investment in infrastructure, education and social welfare, and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development across the state.
