National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi co-chaired the 24th round of the Special Representatives’ Dialogue on the Boundary Question between India and China in Delhi today. External Affairs Ministry said in a statement that the discussions covered issues related to de-escalation, delimitation and boundary affairs. Mr Wang Yi also held bilateral talks with External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar yesterday and called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During the visit, the Indian side strongly raised the issue of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, including cross-border terrorism, recalling that one of the original objectives of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation was to counter the evil of terrorism. Minister Wang Yi concurred that countering terrorism should be given the highest priority.
