The Naga People’s Front (NPF) Party approved the merger of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) with the NPF through a show of hands during the General Convention held in Kohima today. The decision demonstrated absolute ratification of the resolutions earlier adopted by the Central Office Bearers and Central Executive Council on October 18.
The Convention also unanimously elected a new team of Central Office Bearers, the Central Executive Council, and office bearers of the Frontals and Cells for the 2025-2030 tenure. The newly team is led by Nagaland Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, who will serve as the President of the NPF.
